Tong is a cabaret dancer. I met up with her and we went for a walk in the park. Then she started looking at her watch. "I can't be late," she said, gently. That's the problem with cabaret people. They have to be in the theatre by 4:30 to 5:00 pm for the first run-through and wardrobe. But it can be a good way of life, the theatres being a great place for friendships between the girls, and some, like Tong, make it a career for years.
